Our Mission
Give every team the leverage of an extra ten people
Not by hiring more — by removing the busywork that keeps good people from their best work.
Relay started with a frustration we all shared: the work behind the work. Status updates. Chasing owners. Re-typing a Slack thread into a ticket into a doc into a standup. The tools were never the problem — the glue between them was.
In 2023, three of us left teams where we’d watched brilliant people spend half their week as human middleware. We were convinced that with the right model and the right context, a workspace could do that glue work itself — read what’s happening, understand what matters, and quietly push things forward.
We shipped the first version to twelve teams. Within a week they were closing tasks they didn't know they'd opened, catching slips before they became fires, and ending standups early. That signal is what we've been building toward ever since.
